Electrical Insight - Pipe Threader

Some of you may know what some of the materials, products, or tools we are posting are, and others of you may have never seen or used something like this before. We're going to post some behind the scene pictures of material, products, or tools which we use on your projects, both residential and commercial, so you have a little inside scoop and can impress our Spectrum Electrical Services, Inc. electrician next time they stop by!

Pictured below is a Rigid Pipe Threading Set complete with a pipe vice which holds your piece of pipe steady giving you a secure workplace; an oiler to be used while threading the pipe to cool and lubricate the threader and pipe; a hand threader with the appropriate sized die for the pipe you are looking to thread which you will turn/crank to perform the threading process; and lastly the pipe you are looking to thread. Threading a pipe creates a screw like head on the end allowing the pipe to have screw like capabilities, assisting in the assembly of pipe and fittings together.
