Safety First - JSA
Safety should be a top priority on every job site, regardless of the size, location, etc. You may have heard of "JSA's" and wondered what they are, and why there is another form for employees to fill out. The purpose of a JSA (job safety analysis) in the construction industry is to acknowledge safety hazards and eliminate or minimize them before the job is performed and before the hazard can have an impact on the workforce. Completing JSA forms is designed help the employees keep safety in the forefront of their mind, as the hazards vary from job to job, and even day to day on the same construction site. Below is a sample JSA form to give you an idea of what contractors like Spectrum Electrical Services, Inc. use, and how yours could be structured if you don't already have a JSA form in place.
