Electrical Insight - Jet Line
Some of you may know what some of the materials, products, or tools we are posting are, and others of you may have never seen or used something like this before. We're going to post some behind the scene pictures of material, products, or tools which we use on your projects, both residential and commercial, so you have a little inside scoop and can impress our Spectrum Electrical Services, Inc. electrician next time they stop by!
Have you ever heard of jetline? This is commonly thought of as electricians slang for rope. Jet line is a nylon style rope which is blown, sucked, shot, or snaked through electrical conduit to assist the electricians in running wire through the conduit housing. If you read our last electrical insight post about fish tapes, this will make more sense! Jetline used in conjunction with a fish tape and some wire pulling lubricant makes running wire in an already established route much simpler than trying to ram the wire through by hand.
