SES Values & Promises
With the start of a new year - the team here at Spectrum has reviewed, edited, and built upon our values and promises as a company, to our employees, and to our valued customers. Over this year we will share with you a few of our values and promises, the reasons for these, and our goals behind them.
As a team here at Spectrum Electrical Services, Inc. we are committed to creating a safe and positive workplace. We understand there are hazards in every action on the jobsite, as well as negative effects of work environments, so we do our best to eliminate the hazards through safety programs and employee awareness activites, while also offering positive rewards for above and beyond employee actions, as well as foreword actions in a combination of ways and places.
Here at SES we involve employees in safety training activities through weekly training lessons and safety precaution programs. On top of the regular safety training requirements, field employees are required to be certified in CPR, First Aid, and the OSHA 30 so they are ready to respond to accidents on the jobsite.
With our team unity mentality, the Spectrum Electrical Services team believes in positive reinforcement, rather than always resorting to disciplinary action. Positive reinforcements can be as simple as delivering donuts to the jobsite during morning coffee break to thank the employees for being thorough in their weekly activities, or on a larger scale such as a bonus on their paycheck for the extended research they did beyond what was asked of them for a specific project. Whether large or small, a positive reinforcement creates respect, as well as, appreciation in both the employee and employer, rather than creating undue strife and tension. Positive reinforcement could also encourage other onlookers to go above and beyond in their tasks, realizing that management does desire to invest and encourage the entire team.
